Giving and Asking Opinion

James and Robert are really good friends. They usually meet at school but haven’t seen each other for a while because of the pandemic. So, James decided to call Robert to talk to him and ask him to go hang out.

James: Hey, Robert!

Robert: Hey, James!

James: How are you?

Robert: I’m good, thanks, and you?

James: Me too.

James: By the way, what do you think about the pandemic situation?

Robert: I think the situation hasn't shown any significant progress, as long as the vaccine hasn't been found yet we still have to follow protocol and still have to study at home.

Robert: And I think it makes studying harder because I understand the material better if I study at school.

James: I think so too, studying at school is better

Robert: Yeah, I agree studying at school is more effective

James: We haven’t seen each other for a while. What do you think if we go hang out sometime?

Robert: Sure, as long as we follow the protocol.

James: How about Tuesday?

Robert: I think I’m busy on Tuesday

James: How about Wednesday?

Robert: Okay

James: Alright then, see you on Wednesday

Robert: Okay, bye

James: Bye

What is Allusion? An allusion is a brief and indirect reference to a person, place, thing, or idea of historical, cultural, literary, or political significance. It does not describe in detail the person or thing to which it refers. It is just a passing comment and the writer expects the reader to possess enough knowledge to spot the allusion and grasp its importance in a text. There are 4 types of Allusion : Religion Pop Culture Literature Mythology Example of allusion in the song "Titanium" by David Guetta Ricochet, you take your aim Fire away, fire away You shoot me down but I won't fall I am titanium In this dance classic, she compares herself to one of the strongest metals. She is showing that no matter what you throw at her, or how much you try to knock her down, you won’t succeed.
